The house was built by John Williams, a builder. The original front door faced south where the bay window now extends. The house was purchased in 1855 by William H. Cornell, a relative of Ezra Cornell, the founder of Western Union and Cornell University. Originally, the property included the adjacent house at 122 Main Street.

Occupying more than 1/4 acre directly across from Gerry Park, with its spacious lawns, multiple ponds and statues, this fabulous Colonial features 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The light-filled kitchen has granite counters, a large, granite-topped eat-on island, and stainless steel appliances. The Living Room has a cozy reading nook and a wood-burning fireplace, while the formal Dining Room has a built-in china cabinet, wet bar and wine cooler. The Primary Bedroom Suite is flooded with light and has lovely views of the Park. It includes a separate office space, a walk-in closet and a full bath. There are three more bedrooms and another full bath on the third floor. The patio in back can be accessed from both the first and second floors. A replica of the Statue of Liberty with her lighted torch, provides ample light for summertime dinner parties on the patio.
