Getty Foundation’s Marrow Undergraduate Internship Applications Are Now Open
Pasadena Heritage is proud to once again participate in the Getty Foundation’s Marrow Undergraduate Internship program. This position is funded by a grant from the Getty Foundation, which is intended for outstanding students who are members of groups underrepresented in museum and visual arts organizations.
Description: Pasadena Heritage is looking for an Education Intern to join a four-member office staff that work cooperatively in creating many and varied public programs. Training and direction will be provided by the Programs Director, and the intern must have strong writing, speaking, research, and organizational skills. The internship includes participation in the organization's summer programs, preparation for fall events, creation of a lasting project or program that will benefit Pasadena Heritage, creation of social media posts, and occasional contribution to office and clerical needs including data entry. Interns who are interested in architecture, history, and preservation will especially benefit from this opportunity. The intern will work Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM and will be available some weekends and evenings for meetings and special events. This is a full-time, ten-week position from June – August 2026 with a stipend of $7,400.

Additional Requirements: Applicants must be of a group underrepresented in museums and visual arts organizations, including, but not limited to, individuals of African American, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent, and must meet the following additional criteria: (1) a currently enrolled undergraduate student who has completed at least one semester of college by June 2026; (2) must be a resident or attend college in Los Angeles County. Please note that students who have previously served as Getty Marrow Undergraduate summer interns at our organization are not eligible for consideration. Staff members and relatives of staff or Board members are not eligible.
