On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Art Deco Society of New York (ADSNY), I am delighted to announce the appointment of our new Executive Director, Ellyn Villar, who will work closely with me and members of the ADSNY Board to lead ADSNY into our next chapter.

As a volunteer and Board Member of ADSNY, Ellyn has demonstrated, not only a deep appreciation for the rich legacy of New York City’s Art Deco design and architecture, but proven leadership, vision and expertise.

As Executive Director, Ellyn will bring her strong creative and management experience to oversee the Society’s programs, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, working to further our mission of celebrating, preserving, and promoting the Art Deco heritage of New York City. Working closely with the ADSNY Board, she will be instrumental in expanding programs, and educational outreach, strengthening community engagement, preservation efforts and enhancing the Society’s presence both locally and globally.

The Board and I have come to rely on Ellyn as a valued member of many of our volunteer committees for her expertise, sound judgement and creative vision. Now, we are delighted that Ellyn will be able to support all our efforts full time with new energy, expertise and vision to ADSNY.
