Landmarks Community Capital Corporation has completed a $332,000 loan to Orange Tabby LLC, a company owned by Andrew Taglianetti and his wife Laura Geshay, to purchase and renovate an historic Queen Anne house in Larimer, a city neighborhood on the east side of Pittsburgh.

Built in the 1880s, the 4-bedroom house located at the corner of Mayflower and Ashley streets, is the only City-designated historic structure in the neighborhood, which borders East Liberty.

The proprietors of Orange Tabby LLC, a real estate investment company, which owns other properties in Larimer, plan to undertake substantial renovation of the house including roof, landscaping, windows, and interior upgrades.

Added to the list of City of Pittsburgh Designated Historic Sites and Districts in 1999, the house was once owned by Anthony and Edi Mainiero, who cared for and maintained it for more than 40 years before getting it designated as a city historic structure in order to protect it for future generations.
