The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach is pleased to announce its annual Call for Nominations for awards that celebrate outstanding contributions to the preservation, design, and stewardship of Palm Beach’s unique architectural, botanical, and cultural heritage.
Since their inception, these awards have served as a cornerstone of the Foundation’s mission—recognizing projects that honor the past while contributing to the town’s distinct sense of place. Nominations are now open for the following awards:
- The Robert I. Ballinger Award – Recognizing superior restoration or rehabilitation of a landmarked private estate.
- The Elizabeth L. and John H. Schuler Award – Celebrating exceptional new residential construction in keeping with traditional architectural styles.
- The Lesly S. Smith Landscape Award – Honoring outstanding landscape design that balances tradition with originality.
- The Polly Earl Award – Highlighting the preservation of smaller-scale historic homes in mid-town or North End neighborhoods.
- The Edward E. and Susie Elson Award – Acknowledging excellence in commercial or civic projects that enrich Palm Beach’s public realm.
We encourage architects, designers, preservation professionals, and property owners to submit a project for consideration.
Deadline for nominations: September 30, 2025
Award recipients will be selected in October and notified by November 1
