Mississippi:
A bill (HB 579) has been introduced in the Mississippi House that would make the Mississippi state rehab tax credit transferable and has been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee. Such a change would give Mississippi's tax credit more flexibility and attract additional investment to historic properties.

New Jersey:
The Historic Property Revitalization Act (HPRA), which would give 25% credit for rehab of qualified properties, has been re-introduced in the 2010 New Jersey Legislature. Lead sponsors Sen. Barbara Buono and Assemblyman Reed Gusciora are heading efforts to get the legislation enacted. Newly-elected Governor Chris Christie (R) supported the proposed tax credit during his campaign for governor.
