We need your help to give $1 million away! For the past four years, the National Trust for Historic Preservation has been proud to partner with American Express in Partners in Preservation. Through this unique endeavor, more than 40 places in 4 communities – San Francisco, Chicagoland, New Orleans, and Greater Boston – have received more than $3 million in “bricks and mortar” grants for preservation projects.
Today, National Trust President Richard Moe and Tim McClimon, President of the American Express Foundation and Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility, announced 25 new sites in the Seattle-Puget Sound area that will compete for $1 million in grants.
These places reflect the Seattle-Puget Sound area’s pivotal role in the history and development of the Pacific Northwest. And its leadership in historic preservation and sustainability make it the perfect setting for this year’s Partners in Preservation program.
We need your help to determine who will receive grant funding! Your vote will help to inform the decision of a special Advisory Committee, who will meet to consider which projects will receive funding.
Your vote matters! Not only will it inform the overall grant making process, but the top vote recipient is guaranteed to have their project funded! So vote early and often (well, once a day anyway), between now and May 12. Stay loyal to one site or share your support by voting for a different site each day.
