2011 AIA Sustainable Design Assessment Team Appplication

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Center for Communities by Design announces the release of the 2011 Sustainable Design Assessment Team Program (SDAT) Application. The application solicits submittals for inclusion in the Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) 2011 program.

The SDAT program is a community assistance program that focuses on the principles of sustainability. SDATs bring teams of volunteer professionals (such as architects, urban designers, planners, preservationists, economists, and others) to work with community decision-makers and stakeholders to help them develop a vision and framework for a sustainable future.

The final deadline to submit proposals for consideration in the 2011 SDAT program is November 19, 2010. Recipient communities will be notified of their application's acceptance in December of 2010. Submittals from past successful applicants as well as final reports and presentations from past projects can be found on our webpage. The Center will schedule a public teleconference in association with the 2011 Application process in September 2010. To sign up and participate in the call, please contact the Center for Communities by Design at communitiesbydesign@aia.org.
