National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) Announces its 2008 PTT Grants Call for Proposals

The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) announces its 2008 Call for Proposals to the Preservation Technology and Training Grants program. NCPTT awards grants for up to $50,000 to projects, training, book manuscripts, and bookshops that develop or disseminate new and emerging preservation technologies. For the first time this year, NCPTT is offering a pre-proposal opportunity so that you can quickly and easily determine if your idea meets the PTT Grants program goals. The pre-proposal is a one page form that can be filled out on the web. We ask for a brief project description, statement of national need, time frame, and overall cost. Based on the quality and fit of the pre-proposal letter, applicants may be invited to complete an on-line application for 2008 funding. The deadline for pre-proposals is October 15, 2007. For more information, visit http://www.ncptt.nps.gov, or call 318-356-7444.
