The Charles E. Peterson Prize, sponsored jointly by the Athenaeum of Philadelphia, the American Institute of Architects, and the National Park Service, is awarded annually for the best set of measured drawings produced by students and donated to the HABS Collection. For the first time in the 30-year history of the competition, a tie was awarded for first place. The student team from the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin received one of the first place honors for their documentation of the North-Evans Chateau in Austin. The other first place award was given to students at the Louisisana State University School of Architecture for their documentation of Fort Proctor in Lake Borgne, Louisiana.

For a complete list of winners, please go to the HDP website at http://www.nps.gov/history/hdp/competitions/Peterson_winners.htm
