The League of Preservation Voters is Back
HDC is bringing back its successful League of Preservation Voters initiative for the 2013 elections. The program works to help communities and elected officials partner together to better preserve the historic resources that make each neighborhood unique. The League aims to engage both voters and candidates alike, to unify groups of community advocates, and to educate political candidates and newly elected officials about the importance of preserving New York City’s historic places, buildings and neighborhoods.

Is your community organization, block association, or civic group holding a candidate forum or submitting a candidate questionnaire related to the upcoming municipal elections? If so, let HDC help! HDC can help publicize and co-sponsor candidate forums, especially where landmarks, land use or other quality of life issues affecting historic neighborhoods will be featured. Contact us today and see how we can assist! In the next few weeks, HDC will be sending out our updated Preservation Platform and we encourage our Neighborhood Partners to sign on to the platform as well as using the main points of the platform as questions for candidate forums and questionnaires.

Call 212-614-9107 or email hdc@hdc.org to learn more.
