Ottawa, Ont., October 13, 2015 – In just ten days the National Trust for Canada will launch THIS PLACE MATTERS – Canada’s first national crowdfunding platform dedicated to heritage.

Today, we are inviting community organizations to identify great local projects to participate in this new and exciting initiative.

Do you have a heritage place in need of critical restoration work or an innovative plan for adaptive-reuse? Or are you in the final stretch of a fundraising campaign and need a boost to attract those final contributions? THIS PLACE MATTERS can be the catalyst that helps your organization reach its goals.

Register your project before October 23rd and be first in line for a special promotion available to the first project teams to use this new crowdfunding site.

Crowdfunding has proven to be an effective way to raise money and awareness for a cause. It can also mobilize broad community support and expand an organization’s reach.

We want to hear about your heritage project! Visit nationaltrustcanada.ca/thisplacematters to learn more about the THIS PLACE MATTERS Eligibility Criteria and to fill in the Registration Form. Call us at 613-237-1066 ext. 230 or email thisplacematters@nationaltrustcanada.ca
