As part of our mission to save meaningful places that foster lively communities, each year since 2009 Historic Seattle has recognized the outstanding achievements of individuals, businesses, and community groups by presenting Preservation Awards.

Over the past decade, honorees have included Mount Zion Baptist Church, Optimism Brewing, Vanishing Seattle, Pike Place MarketFront, Cascadia Art Museum, Les Tonkin, Capitol Hill's Starbucks Roastery, Kevin Daniels, Mike Malone, John Bennett, Pacific Science Center, Hat 'n' Boots, the Women's University Club, and dozens more extraordinary people and projects.

Nominations are now open for this year's awards, and the deadline for submission has been extended to May 8. Honorees will be selected from nominations received in the following categories: Best Preservation Project; Preservation Champion; Community Investment; Preserving Neighborhood Character; Community Advocacy; and Best in Neighborhood (a new, rotating category specific to the neighborhood where our annual benefit event is held - this year on September 19, 2019 in Georgetown).

Eligibility requirements vary in each category. Learn more and be sure to apply by May 8 to be considered.
