The Delaware Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation Solutions, Environmental Stewardship has a vacancy for an Environmental Specialist II or III/Archaeologist, based on years of supervisory experience.  The position will perform and manage Archaeological surveys and consultants within areas affected by DelDOT projects, including fieldwork, laboratory work, and technical report writing. Duties also include consultation efforts and documentation associated with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The applicant must be familiar with Cultural Resource Management practices.  Interested applicants must be in possession of at least a master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field and have demonstrated knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the implementing regulations under 36 CFR Part 800.

Position is a pay grade 13, starting salary of $47,610.00 or pay grade 15, salary of $52,950.00.  Interested candidates may view posting information and apply on-line at https://statejobs.delaware.gov.  Applications will be accepted through 28 February 2023.  EEO/AA Employer
