PORTLAND, OR — September 12, 2024 — Restore Oregon’s Board of Directors announces the selection of three honorees to receive a 2024 DeMuro Preservation Impact Award, a new take on their annual project awards program that reflects the people and organizations that have made a lasting impact on the historic preservation and cultural heritage landscape in Oregon. The three honorees are the Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Innovative Housing, Inc., and Congressman Earl Blumenauer.

“Restore Oregon wants to highlight and share each of these awardees' work, impact, and sphere of influence on Oregon’s cultural heritage and built environment to demonstrate how historic preservation plays a meaningful and long-term role in creating housing, combating climate change, and sharing the untold stories reflected in our State's diverse cultural heritage,” said Nicole Possert, Executive Director of Restore Oregon.

This DeMuro Preservation Impact Award is also aligned with the organization’s new Strategic Framework and centered on three issue-based priorities: sustainability/climate change mitigation, housing generation, and social and cultural equity.
