Day of Preservation with Brian Davis

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn about historic preservation from Brian Davis, Executive Director of the Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation. Mr. Davis will present two insightful lectures on Saturday, March 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 2:00PM. A boxed lunch will be served between the two lectures for a nominal fee of $15. Mr. Davis’ first lecture will be Preservation Toolbox and his second lecture will be Preservation Programs to Transform Communities.
Brian M. Davis serves as executive director for the Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation, the statewide preservation non-profit organization, founded in 1979. After earning a B.S. Architecture from Louisiana Tech University, he worked as an architectural intern in firms in Houston and Galveston. In 2004, he became Preservation Services Director for the Galveston Historical Foundation, during which time he wrote “Lost Galveston”. He served as executive director for Historic Salisbury Foundation from 2012 to 2015, when he returned home to Louisiana to establish a revolving fund program for LTHP. In 2017, he was named executive director of the organization and provides advocacy, education and technical services in all 64 parishes of the state. He currently serves as president of the Cooley House Foundation in Monroe, assisting with the restoration of this Prairie style landmark.
