Altadena Steadfast invites you to participate in a design initiative for Altadena, sponsored by Steadfast LA and led by a working group of local community members, all of whom have been touched by the fires. Here’s how it’ll work.

To kick things off, they are hosting an in-person Open House on October 4 from 12 PM to 4 PM at Loma Alta Park Gym to collect your ideas. This will be followed by a series of workshops led by urban design professionals to capture everything on paper. The results will become a design brief and a set of proposals for Altadena’s public spaces, which will be presented to the Community Coalition for Altadena Recovery (CCAR) — established to collaborate with the community and the Supervisor’s office on recovery efforts — and to County leadership, including the Altadena Recovery and Rebuilding Commission (ARRC). Ultimately, they will produce a compelling tool both for County government and to promote investment in community-endorsed direction.
