Inherit the Wind Auditions

Open auditions for Inherit the Wind!

Performance dates are March 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and 29 at 2:30 p.m.

You only need to attend one of the audition dates. Goshen Theater will provide excerpts to read/perform.

Please bring all your conflicts from Jan. 28 – Mar. 29

Bertram Cates – A 24 yr old science teacher and the defendant. Cates has been arrested for teaching his students the theory of evolution.

Matthew Harrison Brady – Lead prosecution against Cates. Christian fundamentalist.

Henry Drummond – Famous Lawyer from Chicago sent to defend Cates.

Rachel Brown – 22 yr old daughter of Reverend Brown and close friend to Cates.

E.K. Hornbeck – Cynical journalist and Critic who travels to Hillsboro to cover the trial.

Rev. Jeremiah Brown – Religious authority in Hillsboro.

The Judge – Oversees Cates trial.

Meeker – The Bailiff

Mrs Brady – The wife of Matthew Brady

Melinda Loomis – 12 yr old bible enthusiast

Howard Blair – A student from Cates’s science class

Mrs. Krebs – Outspoken Hillsboro woman

Tommy Stebbins – 11 yr old boy

Additional townspeople, jury members, etc (Several roles will be doubled.)
