"The Hamilton Connection: Scottish music, stories and a Founding Father"

On Thursday, April 25, 2019, The Historical Society of Islip Hamlet and The Islip Public Library will co-host Musica Dolce's "The Hamilton Connection: Scottish music, stories and a Founding Father".
This program explores the heritage of Alexander Hamilton, whose father James Hamilton of Grange, was Scottish nobility. There will be colonial period music on
instruments of the time, stories and anecdotes that get to the core of the Scot's way of thinking.
Traditional Scottish Shortbread and tea will be served. Attendees are encouraged to wear PLAID; there will be a door prize for the best "Person in Plaid".
