Come home for Christmas!  Celebrate the holiday with family and friends in our home. Florida's most opulent historic Victorian mansion welcomes you on guided tours through 10 new elaborate and elegant adult oriented designer decorated rooms which celebrate the birth of Christ. USA TODAY'S  #1 Christmas display in Florida, #5 in the nation, is in the most perfect setting - a magnificently restored historic Victorian mansion. After all, it was the Victorians that introduced our many modern holiday traditions like the Christmas tree and gift giving. Built in 1886 for Florida's first snow bird, iconic hat maker John B. Stetson, the ornate landmark on the National Historic Register has beautiful intricate wood carvings, 16 intricate parquet floor patterns, and 10,000 panes of antique glass - all competing with this year's elaborate designer decorations for the visitor's attention.

Two or three unusual nativities from around the world are part of each room's display. The delightful guides that tour you through the 1st and 2nd floors of the mansion offer their own ‘one man show' with stories about the origins of our modern holiday traditions, brief historic highlights about John B. Stetson, the Mansion and the restoration, but the tour focus is what inspired this years 10 themes and how the owner/designer's interpretation of each room's design helps celebrates the birth of Christ and the holiday season. (This is not a history tour. Regular historic tours are offered Feb -Sept.)The mansion was the most modern home in Florida when it was built in 1886. Thomas Edison, a friend of Stetson, installed the electric system which allowed for one of the first sets of electric Christmas tree lights to be used on a tree in the Stetson Mansion. The current owners who live in this home still continue the old holiday tradition started by Stetson and Edison: lighting up the Christmas tree in the parlor with the same electric outlet Edison installed for that very first string of tree lights. Your visit here is a new tradition - opening up the private estate during the holidays for everyone's enjoyment.

For 9 seasons visitors have been awestruck with the inspiration and imagination that goes into our elaborate, elegant, reverent,  and personal Christmas display that celebrates the birth of Christ and the meaning of the holiday season.  Our heart and soul goes into our annual "Christmas Spectacular!" The emotional and spiritual connection it makes with Stetson Mansion guests and our family explains why their many positive reviews have established the Mansion as Tripadvisor's "#1 Rated Landmark Tourist Attraction In Florida." "See You at the Mansion!"

There are 2 steps to get in the buildings and no elevators are permitted. There are 16 steps to floor 2. Many guests do just tour the first floor. No high heals, large bags or cameras are permitted.

Just like a theater, photography is not permitted in the mansion. For more tour details please visit the Christmas page of our website.
