Preservation Workshop and Annual Members Meeting
October 18, 2019 |
Please join the Washington Trust in Spokane at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture for a special “Preservation 101” workshop, followed by our Annual Members Meeting and Reception!
5:00-7:00 pm: “Preservation 101” Public Workshop
The Washington Trust is excited to invite all members of the public to a free “Preservation 101” workshop. During this introduction to historic preservation, you’ll meet your statewide and local partners in preservation, learn how to advocate for historic buildings in your community, and understand what being listed on a historic register means. The workshop will also feature the recent success story of Spokane’s Browne’s Addition Historic District being listed on the Spokane Register of Historic Places and explain the process of that historic designation and what it means.
7:00-8:30 pm: Annual Members Meeting and Reception
Immediately following “Preservation 101,” all members, friends, and workshop attendees are invited to join us for the Washington Trust’s Annual Members Meeting and Reception. Board president Holly Chamberlain will highlight organizational accomplishments and activities from the past year and members in attendance will be presented with the slate of nominees recommended to serve on the Board of Directors beginning in 2020. We invite you to join us for light refreshments and lively conversation about preservation in our state.
