People + Places: A New Future Blooms for Historic Tokio Florist

Join us as we learn more about Silver Lake's Sakai-Kozawa Residence/Tokio Florist (Historic-Cultural Monument #1198), including its historic significance, the community's effort to designate and memorialize the site, and the vision for the site's continued use.
We're pleased to have Michael Breland, architect at Breland-Harper, Catherine Gudis, Professor of History/Director of Public History at the University of California, Riverside, and Kristen Hayashi, Director of Collections and Curator at the Japanese American National Museum, and Board Member of Little Tokyo Historical Society. The Conservancy's Neighborhood Outreach Manager M. Rosalind Sagarawill moderate this event.
