Historic Preservation Advocacy Week Returns Virtually March 7-10
March 7-10, 2022 |
Preservation Action, along with our partners at the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers, is pleased to announce National Historic Preservation Advocacy Week 2022will once again be held virtually, March 7-10, 2022. While we'll miss being together in Washington, D.C. with all of you, we're excited to have an even bigger impact with the potential of reaching more members of Congress and allowing more advocates to bring our message of preservation-positive legislation directly to lawmakers.
Virtual Preservation Advocacy Week 2022 will feature in-depth virtual trainings, policy briefings, networking opportunities, virtual sessions with elected officials, and of course virtual hill visits, providing the opportunity to meet with your members of Congress and their staff directly. Save the date!
During last year's first ever Virtual Preservation Advocacy Week we had a record number of participants and met with over 200 congressional offices. Attendees heard from and had the chance to engage with some of our biggest champions in Congress throughout the week. We look to providing similar opportunities and having an even bigger impact in 2022. This year will be a critical year for advocates, as we're closer than ever before to bringing long over-due enhancements to the Historic Tax Credit, and are on verge of fully funding the Historic Preservation Fund for first time in history, but we need your help!
Check out our Advocacy Week webpage to learn more, and stay tuned for registration information to be announced next week. We'll also be reaching out to state coordinators to help schedule visits and organize your team. If you are interested in serving as a state coordinator, reach out to rnaylor@preservationaction.org.
