The Thomas Paine Festival features a number of events, including a Symposium on Friday, June 17th with speakers on aspects of Thomas Paine and his legacy; a viewing of Thomas Paine artifacts at Iona College; and on Saturday, June 18th a family-oriented Colonial Fair, tours of the historic Thomas Paine Cottage (1784) and nearby Thomas Paine Memorial Building (1925) and other presentations, including by the Sculptor of a Thomas Paine statue proposed for Washington, D.C, in a bill in Congress sponsored by Congressman Jamie Raskin and others.
