Port Townsend, Washington Victorian Heritage Festival

April 26-28, 2024
Port Townsend, Washington Victorian Heritage Festival

PORT TOWNSEND VICTORIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL

April 26 – 28, 2024 - The Port Townsend Victorian Heritage Festival will immerse you in a bygone era. Join us in celebrating a slice of our town’s history. Port Townsend, Washington is one of only three Victorian Seaports listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

The Victorian Heritage Festival’s 2024 theme is “Home and Hearth”.  Presentations, tours and family friendly Victorian-era fun are sure to entice you to explore our town. Take walking tours of Downtown and Uptown, including visiting a historic home and a tour of the newly completed Post Office, circa 1892, renovation. See the “Magic Lanterns” that were the Victorian predecessors of slide projectors. There will be presentations on widow’s walks, the “melting” bricks of Port Townsend, the history of the Adams-Pragge house, the Victorian obsession with Fern and so much more.

Festival Highlights include:
- Magic Lantern Show – in the PT Film Festival offices in the historic Mt. Baker Block building
- Tea and a Good Book – with local author Erica Bauermeister
- A Victorian Fashion Show - A crowd favorite will return as a Saturday highlight.
- The Community Contra Dance– Your opportunity to dress for any era and dance the night away!
- Tours – Walking tours of Downtown and Uptown
- Presentations: Rumford Fireplaces, The Herbert F. Beecher Story and more
- Opportunities to enter restored Victorian homes
- Victorian Costume Rentals - Available throughout the weekend
- Home and Hearth Exhibits – The Good Templars Hall, Brigid’s Loft at Quincy & Washington streets

Online ticket sales begin March 1, 2024
