On January 24, 2017, Historic New England presents A Deep Dive into American Design: Historic New England's Irving and Casson-A.H. Davenport Collection at the Otis House in Boston.
Join Senior Curator of Library and Archives Lorna Condon and Collections Cataloguer Lynne Paschetag for an armchair exploration of the rich archives of the legendary furniture makers Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport. The archive includes more than 20,000 original design drawings, sketches, photographs, scrapbooks, and ephemera that documents the work of the firm. Learn about the history of the firm, see stunning examples from the collection, and hear about fascinating discoveries made during the course of the recently completed cataloguing project.
