Started as a mining smelter operation in the late 1800's, and settled into cattle farming until the late 1980's. Only three owners over the last 100 years. A turn of the century railroad bed lines the south portion of the property, and the historic “Homestead Cabin” is said to be the site of an original “Ute Tribe” summer ground, prior to white settlement. The Wet Mountain Valley was the furthest north that Spanish explorers got in the 1500’s, naming our mountains the “Sangre de Cristo” range, meaning “Blood of Christ” for the striking early morning bright red hue that the sunrise casts upon the snow capped peaks. |

Three home estate with a buildable lot, and 3 grazing pastures, all on 200 acres of non-stop gorgeous views in every direction!
Currently operating as a luxury guest estate for reunions and weddings with 18 bedrooms, 5 sleeping lofts, 2 Outdoor Screened/Roofed Bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and nearly 2,000 sq feet of roofed outdoor social space. The business is included in the sale, should the buyer want to continue doing rentals.
Homestead Cabin has been restored and this historic original building contains its original hand hewn log construction.
The Cottage was built in the 1920’s and is a “Prairie Victorian” style home with a large (840 sq ft) wrap around porch with an outdoor fireplace and outdoor bedroom.
The main “Ranch House” was completed in 2003, and was built to evoke the feeling of a “Turn of the century railroad baron mansion”. Architectural Antique components that are over 100 years old have been built in throughout the house, including 48 matching antique wooden doors reclaimed from a circa 1890, Pennsylvania Convent. |

Conservation Easement protects the grazing pasture acreage in perpetuity, and it is all deeded acreage. |
