Sun. Sept. 27th, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host the 5th Oakwood Cemetery Tour between 12N and 4 pm (rain date Oct. 4th).  We will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence as we experience the lives of Revolutionary War Soldiers firing musket volleys to honor them.  You will also hear the story of "the lost soul of Islip" and a Judge involved in the trial of New York Nazis in Bay Shore.  Tickets are $25/person and go on sale at Eventbrite on Sept. 7th, Caroline's Flower Shoppe on Sept. 14th or the day of the event.  More more info: www.isliphamlethistory.org, 631-559-2915.
