Plans are already well underway for SAH Celebrates, the Society’s annual gala, which will take place at the Fortnightly of Chicago on Friday, November 13, 2026. Please add the date to your calendar and join old friends and new to celebrate this year's honorees while supporting the Society’s many programs.

Not able to come to Chicago to attend the in-person event? You can still participate in the SAH Celebrates Silent Auction, which will feature thematically- and geographically-diverse experiences connected to the Society’s mission. Here are just a few examples of the unforgettable experiences that will be on offer:

• Behind-the-scenes at the Avery: A close look at drawings by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright at Columbia University’s Avery Library’s Drawings & Archives department, with Barry Bergdoll
• Taft House (Gwathmey Siegal, 1978): A tour and champagne reception at a private residence in Cincinnati, Ohio
• Reunion House (Richard Neutra, 1949-50): A private tour of a building not open to the public in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles
• Newfoundland Writer’s Retreat: A week-long stay at the historic Dwyer House in Tilting, a fishing town on Fogo Island that has been designated a National Historic Site of Canada.

Online bidding will open in early November and close during the in-person event. So, mark you calendars now!
