He will give a lively illustrated talk on what it took to restore and reimagine the hotel's Art Deco character for the next century, followed by an award ceremony and a cocktail reception featuring an open bar and a charcuterie presentation.

Few buildings carry a legacy like the Waldorf. hen it opened its doors on October 1, 1931, it became the city's unofficial palace. After eight years of painstaking restoration, it's reclaimed that place, and this gala marks the one-year anniversary of its reopening and the 95th anniversary of the original opening of the New York Art Deco landmark.
