Grant Wagner

Born and raised in Central New Jersey, Grant Wagner has developed a deep and enduring appreciation for historic architecture and the stories embedded within it. From the grand estates of Princeton’s Western Section to early American farmhouses and thoughtfully restored residences, his work is grounded in a belief that exceptional houses are not simply lived in, but stewarded.

That perspective is personal. Grant’s first house was the 1688 Thomas Foulkes House, located in the historic village of Crosswicks in Chesterfield Township, New Jersey, an experience that shaped his understanding of historic homes at a fundamental level. Living within one of the region’s earliest residences instilled a lasting respect for craftsmanship, preservation, and the responsibility of ownership.

With a background spanning interior design, marketing, and sales, including experience with Christopher Peacock in Short Hills as well as West Elm and BoConcept in Princeton, Grant brings a refined and design driven perspective to the presentation of historic houses. He understands how to highlight original character while thoughtfully positioning a property for modern living.

Grant specializes in the representation of historic and architecturally significant properties, along with a select offering of distinctive residences and weekend retreats throughout the greater Princeton region, including Mercer, Monmouth, Hunterdon, Somerset, Burlington, and Middlesex counties. His approach is rooted in identifying what makes each house unique, from period details and craftsmanship to setting and provenance, and ensuring that story is clearly conveyed to the right audience.

A dedicated advocate for historic preservation, Grant is an active member of the Garden Club of Princeton, the Somerset Hills Historical Society, the Chesterfield Township Historical Society, and the Bordentown Historical Society. He is also a founding sponsor and co-chair of the Princeton Garden Tour, with meaningful involvement in initiatives with Morven Museum & Garden and the Historical Society of Princeton. These affiliations reflect his commitment not only to real estate, but to the continued preservation and appreciation of the region’s architectural heritage.

Grant resides in Warren, New Jersey, with his husband in a Colonial Revival house atop the Second Watchung Mountain. His personal and professional lives are closely aligned, both centered around architecture, landscape, and the enduring value of place.

With a nuanced understanding of the Central New Jersey market and a clear focus on historic properties, Grant is dedicated to representing houses of character and connecting them with buyers who will appreciate and steward them for years to come.

We could not be happier with the help he provided and very glad to have him on our side. I highly recommend using Grant for buying or selling a home.” – R. Mendoza

“Grant made our entire home search and home buying experience easy and enjoyable. From our first phone call to our final walk-through of the house we ultimately decided to buy, Grant was extremely professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and overall fun to work with. Any time we had questions or wanted to see a property, Grant replied quickly and was able to effectively answer all questions and schedule showings. He was very receptive to what exactly we were looking for and ultimately encouraged us to take a look at a home that we had not picked out for ourselves, which turned out to be the one! We are thankful for Grant’s help and would look forward to working with Grant again in the future!” – M. Pearson

“Grant Wagner and David Schure were excellent in facilitating the sale of our house. Their thoughtful advice regarding staging was much appreciated, and worked well with the space. They were always available for updates and counsel throughout the process, and supported the final stages of the process with extra personal effort. Grant and David know the market well in our area and are particularly sensitive to the advantages and sophisticated charm of mid-century modern houses–which was very helpful in our case. I highly recommend them both.” – A. Holt

“We recently worked with Grant Wagner and David Schure to purchase our home, and if we were to ever need a realtor again, we would only want to work with them. Fortunately, they helped us find a house that we love and plan to stay in for a long time (although unfortunately, that means we won’t have the chance to work with them again anytime soon). David and Grant are both people that you’ll wish you could get brunch after an inspection with, but their abilities as realtors far surpass just their people skills. Both David and Grant took the time to get to know us as well as our wants and needs. They balanced being respectful of our circumstances and wishes while still offering their professional opinions, which were always welcome and helped us assess situations realistically. They even came up with solutions to problems that we had not considered, like which train stations would make my commute easier when parking was factored in. It’s clear that David and Grant both have an expert understanding of the area that enhance their abilities as realtors. David and Grant worked through every issue that was thrown at them (from meeting the requirements of a VA loan to starting our search while we were out of state) to make sure that we were successful in securing a house we love. Because of these challenges and our concerns as first-time buyers, it was especially important that we found realtors who we trusted, who would be able to recommend professionals in the area (such as helping us find an inspector), and who could succinctly describe the importance of different elements throughout the process. When we were out of town but wanted to view a home, David and Grant were kind enough to go for us. While we knew we could trust their appraisal, they were also able to communicate their thoughts and concerns in a way that made sense to us. Even when we were in the area, they made sure to be at every appointment we made, from inspections to closing, and made themselves available for meetings with our lawyer and loan servicer whenever questions arose. We’re thrilled with our house, and know we couldn’t have made it happen without David and Grant’s determination and skill. Thank you for doing everything you could to meet our needs and the needs of our loan servicer!” – B. Bahl
