Adventures in Preservation, which marks its 25th anniversary this year, has two hands-on volunteer projects open for sign-up in 2027.

• Dunans, Scotland, April 2027: conservation of the Great Arch of Thomas Telford’s 1815 Gothic-style bridge, the final step in the conservation of the structure.
• Gyumri, Armenia, May 2027: the start of conservation work on one of the last unaltered grand residences in the Kumayri Historic District.

The organization’s October newsletter also looks back on its first project in Africa, with Ghanaian heritage tourism professional Sam Baddoo in 2006.
