Shawn Morris Named President of Historic Albany Foundation’s Board
Historic Albany Foundation has a new board president, Shawn Morris. She brings decades of communications experience in New York State government and 16 years of service on the Albany Common Council. Since joining the HAF board in 2019 she has chaired its Preservation and Advocacy Committee, served on the Development Committee and been First Vice-President, and she also sits on the board of the Delaware Area Neighborhood Association. HAF highlights her knowledge of zoning and design standards.
The Foundation also welcomed three new board members: carpenter Kelsea Adams, co-founder of Dogwood Custom Carpentry; Sharif Kabir, a longtime New York State official and former CEO of the State Liquor Authority who lives in an 1843 Albany home; and David Toledano, a GE Aerospace systems engineer, 1887 townhouse owner and volunteer at HAF’s Tool Library.
