Inside the Free Speech Movement: Inner Workings to the Aftermath, Film and Discussion
The Berkeley Historical Society & Museum screens a one-hour film, drawn from oral history interviews, in which leaders and supporters of the 1964–65 Free Speech Movement at UC Berkeley describe how they organized their protest from the bottom up, and what it led to. The film’s director Linda P. Rosen, its editors and several FSM veterans take part in a half-hour discussion afterward, followed by time to see the museum’s current exhibit, On the Waterfront: The Other Side of Berkeley.
Sunday, November 15, 2026: doors 1:30 p.m., film 2 p.m. Free; donations welcome. Wheelchair accessible.
