$105 Million Conservation and Stewardship Fund Announced for Yellowstone National Park
The National Park Service, its nonprofit partner Yellowstone Forever and Tallgrass, a Blackstone Infrastructure company, have announced a $105 million Conservation and Stewardship Fund for Yellowstone, described as the largest single private gift in National Park Service history. The permanent fund will support conservation and research, investments in park infrastructure and the visitor experience, and a new Tallgrass WYld Yellowstone Initiative giving Wyoming students and community members more opportunities to experience the park.
The Park Service keeps full authority over management decisions, and funded projects must follow park laws, policies and priorities. Established in 1872, Yellowstone was the world’s first national park.
