Billy Webb Elks Lodge in Portland Launches Work to Re-Open in Late 2026
Restore Oregon began providing support and historic preservation expertise to the Billy Webb Elks Lodge in 2020, when it was added to our Oregon’s Most Endangered Places program. When the unexpected major fire struck in 2021, we leaned in even more when Lodge leaders Lou McLemore and Deborah Roache’ vowed to rebuild and recenter this historic Lodge for their community.
Phase 2 of the construction work is beginning now because of incredible financial support from the philanthropic community, both locally and nationally. More to come as the work unfolds on the journey to reopen this iconic place in the 100th Anniversary year of the building’s construction!
