Introducing Preserve Nashville
Announcing A New Strategic Alliance
The Preservation Society of Nashville and Historic Nashville, Inc. have formally approved a strategic alliance establishing Preserve Nashville as a new parent organization. This structure brings together advocacy, education, and direct preservation tools under one coordinated framework, strengthening how preservation efforts support a rapidly growing Nashville.
Historic Nashville Easements
Historic Nashville, Inc. will continue as a subsidiary nonprofit, operating as Historic Nashville Easements, focusing on the stewardship of preservation easements. Today, that program includes 27 protected historic properties across Davidson County - each representing a permanent investment in preserving Nashville’s architectural and cultural heritage.

Programs:
Preserve Nashville will carry forward and expand a robust portfolio of programs that connect residents, members, and partners to the city’s historic places:
- The Nashville Nine: An annual list that elevates endangered historic places and priority advocacy sites across Davidson County, focusing public attention and resources.
- Preservation Coffee and Professional Education: Regular convenings that bring together neighborhood leaders, architects, developers, planners, and public officials for practical, solutions-focused conversations about preservation and growth, deepening understanding of tools, incentives, and best practices.
- Member-Only Historic Tours: Curated walking tours, site-based experiences, and talks that help members and residents experience Nashville’s neighborhoods, historic buildings, and stories firsthand, often in partnership with local historic sites and cultural organizations.
- Annual “Paint the Town” Fundraising Event: A signature gathering that raises critical support while celebrating the organization’s mission, work, and impact.
- Other Public Programs: Workshops, talks, and collaborative events that help homeowners, neighbors, and preservation enthusiasts care for historic properties, navigate local preservation tools, and get involved in protecting the places they love.
