There have been signs that significant change is coming to America’s historic preservation landscape for months. Last week we got confirmation that the federal review process that protects against wanton destruction of our historic and cultural resources is likely to be dramatically reduced.

This news has shaken the preservation community but it underlines how important preservation efforts on the state and municipal level will be for the foreseeable future.
