The Nashville Nine: 2026 Nominations Now Open
The Nashville Nine—formerly Historic Nashville, Inc.’s annual list of at‑risk historic places—is now carried forward under the Preserve Nashville umbrella, continuing a long‑running tradition of spotlighting endangered sites across the city. Each year’s Nine elevates the buildings, districts, and cultural places that define Nashville’s character and need focused attention before they’re lost.
2026 nominations are open through August 31, and we’re inviting preservation supporters to submit the places they believe are most at risk from demolition, neglect, or inappropriate change. Your nominations help shape the list and guide storytelling, partnerships, and advocacy throughout the year.
This year, the Nashville Nine webpage also features an updated interactive map and full listing of every site named since 2009, so you can explore past Nashville Nine properties and see their current status. Visit the page to submit your nomination, dive into the history of the list, and learn how the Nashville Nine focuses preservation advocacy citywide.
