Join us on Thursday, June 18th for our annual Grassroots Preservation Awards! Since 2000, the Historic Districts Council has honored more than 150 individuals, community groups, coalitions, elected officials, and press outlets for their achievements.

Successful historic preservation efforts in New York City require collaboration amongst many parties, including the public, government agencies, and private sector entities. Grassroots Award recipients work on the ground, in public service, in communities, and online to bring attention and resources to saving the heart and soul of New York City.

In preparation for this year's event, we are currently accepting nominations for Grassroots awardees. If you have an individual or group in mind, please email Frampton Tolbert, Executive Director, at framptont@hdc.org with your nominations by Friday, May 8th.
